Expat & Thai Expat: Why Leave In The Beginning?

Leaving to emigrate & become an Expat

  • Many of us at some point think of leaving our home country. Nine years ago I left the UK through a combination of many reasons, but these were the main two:
  • The urge to find an idyllic location to spend the rest of my life – The opportunity to live a happier and more relaxed lifestyle.
  • Not happy with the way things were going in the UK – This for me was various reasons, - stress of modern living, high taxation, not very hospitable weather. People just didn't seem to have time to say hello to one another, or even be polite. When you're in the "rat race" day after day, it becomes too easy not to notice what is happening around you.
  • This is something which for sure is not uncommon in today's world.
  • For you to still be reading this far, you also must have at some point had a similar idea. To turn this into reality, just read on through these pages and see that it is actually possible to carry out this dream and do something more tangible with your life.

It may be beneficial for you to take notes as you browse though the different sections, thus making it easier for you to ask your own questions later.
